Establishing the Foundation for Christian Revival in Europe with Bible Word Conference in France

“The words explaining the Book of Revelation were truly profound and impressive. I want to learn more about the Bible, and if invited to Korea, I will prepare my ticket (flight) right away.”

Worldwide – June 17, 2024 ( – During the Word Seminar held in Paris, France on June 15th (local time), organized by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (led by Chairman Man-hee Lee, hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Church of Jesus), Pastor Deli Delfin Matondo of the Full Gospel Church expressed his impressions.

In addition to this pastor, a majority of the pastors who attended the Europe Word Seminar expressed their desire to hear more about Revelation from Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

At a critical time when the Christian community in Europe, which had been the starting point of Christian revival, was declining and churches were sold off to restaurants, bars, clubs, etc., urgent measures were needed. This Word Seminar, which began on April 20th in the Philippines as part of the 2024 Continental Word Seminar, was organized in response to the numerous requests from pastors in Europe who longed for revival.

Amid the attention drawn by the participation of over 7,000 attendees, including 1,000 European pastors, discussions held ahead of the Word Seminar focused on the role of pastors in enlightening the spirituality of Christians today.

Following this, on the 8th of last month, there was a viewing of Chairman Man-hee Lee’s lecture at the “Shincheonji Word Seminar on the Testimony of Revelation’s Fulfillment” held in Korea.

Chairman Lee emphasized in his lecture, “God’s work fulfills exactly as written in the Book of Revelation that cannot be added to or subtracted from. I (everyone listening to this lecture) must understand who Revelation is talking about. I hope all of you, pastors, perceive these words and teach it to your saints. Do not add to or subtract from Revelation. You must teach your congregants.”

Following Chairman Lee’s lecture, the leader of Simon Tribe, Seung-joo Lee, continued with an appeal to the European pastors, explaining the meaning of the prophecies and the physical fulfillment of the Bible.

Tribe Leader Seung-joo Lee said, “The revealed word of Revelation’s fulfillment contains the power to give life, and when the number of people who have their faith restored and are recreated in the image and likeness of God increases, there will be revival (even in European churches). In recent years, through the Shincheonji Church of Jesus Zion Christian Mission Center, which annually graduates over 100,000 students, people have been teaching and testifying to Revelation from Chapters 1 to 22.”

Afterward, amidst pledges among the pastors to unite within the Bible, a pastor from Austria expressed admiration, stating, “I am impressed that Shincheonji Church of Jesus focuses on the words of prophecy recorded in the Bible. I want to work with people who are eager and bright for God’s kingdom and work. I want to learn how to cooperate and study Revelation.”

A pastor from Poland also said, “Tears came to my eyes seeing the unity among pastors and believers in Europe. I want to spread this message to more people. Please teach me how I can reach out to more people.”

According to the data from the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, which has been predicting Christian populations from the past to the future, the Christian population in Europe increased to 560 million in the 2000s, then stabilized this year (2024), and is predicted to decrease to 490 million by 2050.

As European society became modernized and industrialized, it began to walk the path of secularization, and the teachings based on biblical scriptures within churches dried up with the advent of liberal theology. Amidst a reality where Christianity has lost trust due to the rise of atheism, religious pluralism, and various scandals involving the clergy, at a time when the next steps are unclear, this recent Word Seminar is expected to serve as a catalyst for the revival of European churches.

An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus stated, “Following this Word Seminar, many pastors in Europe have inquired about how they can learn the Book of Revelation from Shincheonji Church of Jesus. We will prepare locations and programs for them to learn and further activate the Zion Christian Mission Centers in European countries to expand learning platforms.”

The official further commented, “Pastors worldwide want to learn more about Revelation, and we are planning and preparing an additional Word Seminar by the end of this year to invite pastors from around the world to Korea. Through this, we hope it becomes a place where people unite with God and His Word.”

According to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, as of June 5th this year, MOUs have been made with a total of 12,538 churches in 83 countries worldwide. Additionally, 1,341 churches in 41 countries have joined Shincheonji Church of Jesus and changed their signs. Furthermore, as of late May, a total of 5,614 pastors, both in Korea and overseas, are enrolled in Bible classes at the Zion Christian Mission Center.
