Dale Molloy: Stealing the Spotlight in Lightseeker

Worldwide – June 17, 2024 (USANews.com) – Dale Molloy captivated audiences in Resorts World Sentosa’s award-winning production “Lightseeker,” taking on the challenging lead role of The Mortal. This role demanded vigorous training and discipline, as Dale flew through the air in aerial circus acts, leapt from giant platforms, danced through mesmerizing scenes, and sang with soul. The production, which ran at the Festive Grand Theatre in Sentosa Casino for six months, became a must-see event among Singaporeans and travelers alike.

“LIGHTSEEKER, An RWS Musical” features original songs specially composed by award-winning songwriter Dick Lee. The show’s cast comprised over 40 international five-star performers. Dale performed alongside other leads, Vivienne Carlyle, best known for her performances on the West End including “Blood Brothers,” “Cats,” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” and Stewart Boother, also a West End star featured in “Bat Out of Hell,” “Peaky Blinders,” and more.

Night after night, Dale took the stage in his leading role, supported by talented aerialists and singers. His role required him to take risks and follow the voice of the lead role, Nova, played by Nicole Skye. Her character urged him to trust his own voice, take a leap of faith, and believe in his ability to achieve anything.

Dale’s dynamic performance was noted and admired by the thousands of audience members attending the grand shows at Sentosa Island’s Festive Grand Theatre. A reviewer remarked, “The play started out with a stunning acrobatic display by the cast, and I was immediately blown away by all their moves. It felt like a mini Cirque du Soleil to me! There were so many things going on that I didn’t know which part of the stage to set my eyes on. Everyone was amazing from those hanging on the ropes to those on the structures. All the acrobatic scenes in the show were simply stunning and dare I say, they stole the show.”

Another audience member shared, “I honestly didn’t feel like I was watching a musical, it really felt like a circus performance. If you sit close to the stage, which we did, acrobats would sometimes swing over your head. My heart skipped a beat because I was so scared that they’d fall on me. Well of course they didn’t, silly! If not, I wouldn’t be here writing this.”

Dale’s dedication and talent in “Lightseeker” have left an indelible mark on all who witnessed his extraordinary performance, solidifying his reputation as a remarkable performer in the world of musical theatre.
